If you go close to any direct heat it will shrink the hair. However, there is a range called Heatable fibre which can take very low heat.
Some people presume because wigs are synthetic that they won’t look real, which isn’t the case these days as things have progressed so much in just a few years. Of course, there are some not-so-good ones and generally, you get what you pay for, so research is key.
